Hey, Hikago fandom! Your blind_go  mods are back to bring you- drum roll please- ........................ sign-ups for round 16! Read on to find out what you're in store for this round! We've been looking forward to this one. A lot. *evil modly cackling* >D

What's It About?
• GENDERSWAP! Anything and everything related to at least one character being a gender and/or sex that they aren't in canon is fair game! [Come on, you guys had to know this was coming at some point. Seriously. XD]

• All fics MUST include the theme of genderswap in some fashion or another, even if it's just in passing.

• Before anyone asks, note that we purposely used gender in a non-specific way. This means that aside from the usual binary options, having a character identify as anything under the trans umbrella (MtF, FtM, genderqueer, agender, bigender, etc etc etc forever) totally counts as genderswap for this challenge. ETA: Sorry, forgot to point out the obvious here- if you do include a non-binary character, it needs to be made clear in the fic. Subtext won't work here, for reasons that should be obvious.

Deadline?
• All fics will be due by September 19th, at 11:59 pm EST. Anything submitted after this time will not be posted. Fics not received by the deadline cannot be added in afterward because this is a blind challenge, so the late added fic and author would obviously be paired together. Thank you for your understanding.

• Fics will be posted to answer_key on Hikaru's birthday, September 20th, as soon as possible.

Submission!
• Email all fic to be submitted to bg.submissions@gmail.com

• Fics should be attached in .txt format (plain text tutorial)

• In the subject line of the email, please include:

- Writer's user ID

- Title

• In the body of the email, please include:

- Title:

- ID(s):

- Word count:

- Themes used: Only if themes are used

• Multiple fics can be submitted in one email, or in several, whichever works for you

• Collaborations are allowed; please be sure to include the user ID of both authors in the email along with the Title and Word Count

• Fics should include all HTML tags for formatting; the mods will make a cursory check of all fics during posting, but will not be able to format your fic during posting

Fic Guidelines!
• All fics must be for the Hikaru no Go fandom (Crossovers and AUs are allowed as long as the writing features Hikaru no Go characters)

• The word count for this round is a minimum of 500 words! Any singular fic less than 500 words will not be posted. That being said, if a writer has a fic over what DW allows us to post and it can be split into multiple parts/chapters that make sense, feel free to do so as long as the total number of fics allowed isn't exceeded.

• Writers can submit up to five fics. If you collaborate with someone, that fic will count as one for each person involved.

• All fics must be focused on or include the overall theme of genderswap!

• ETA: Because we were asked nicely- this round, if you choose, you may include artwork with your fic. Note that if you do this, said art must be relevant to the story you're submitting and your fic must be able to stand alone without the art. You should also include a note in the body of your email that you have included art so that we know to look for it. Unlike last round, we will likely NOT be reuploading things, so in your fic, you should include a link that does not identify you in the spot you would like the art to appear.

Themes!
• There will be optional themes provided again this round

• Writers can choose to use a theme or not

• Writers who chose to use theme(s) will be eligible for a theme prize, most likely a graphic of some kind

• More details will be available later when Ver figures out what the themes are. [A mod!Ver note: If anybody has any ideas for themes, by all means, let her know privately and they'll be considered. Classes start in less than a week and she's moving in two days, so she's a little overwhelmed right now. Not to worry, though, the themes will be posted. Eventually.]

Guessing!
• Once the posting of the fics is done, a list of participating authors will be posted, and guesses as to who wrote what will be accepted in a screened post

• The Guessing period will be open for two weeks, until October 4th, 11:59pm EST, and All Will Be Revealed on October 5th, as early as we can

• Until the guessing period is over, authors should not reveal themselves, but are welcome to leave hints or accept guesses of their own

Final Note!
• If fewer than five authors submit fics, then the Guessing Period will be omitted, and fics will be posted with the authors identified
